This is a campaign for "Warhammer 40.000 Dawn of War - Dark Crusade".
The strategic map for the campaign is shown on the right and is made up of 19 territories.
Each territory represents one of the default skirmish maps that come with the game.
The campaign is moderated by a Games Master who creates the game files for the battles.
BASIC CONCEPT:
The operational map represents an island on the planet "OH-47", which has been an Orc stronghold for many decades.
Up to now, there has been no reason to mount an offensive against this relatively unimportant Orc homeworld, but recently,
the Imperial Authorities have received the alarming intel that a very powerful transmitter, capable of disturbing the equilibrium of
the known galaxy by emitting a devastating ray of chaos energy, is being built by the Sons of Horus at the center of
this island.
The Emperor has ordered a crusade against this new threat to the Imperium.
OPERATIONAL PLAY: Players may choose to command a force of Imperial Guards who will land on the beaches of Cape Doom OR a force of Space Marines wo will initially strike at Cape Fear. Once the initial beachhead is established, players can move their forces to any adjascent territory in order to capture it. The target is to get to the central territory, the City of Terror, as quickly as possible.
COMMUNICATIONS:
All communications take place on the forums dedicated to this campaign. All Players have access to the General Campaign Forum.
Once a player has chosen their force, he will get access to the Battle Forum that contains all the information for the initial battle.
If successful, the player will then inform the Games Master which territory he wants to attack next and will receive access to the next Battle Forum
BATTLES:
All battles are fought against the AI at HARD level. The battle file is custom built by the GM and posted in the appropriate Battle Forum.
Players download this file when a battle is to be fought. When the Player has completed his battle, he saves the "replay" of his battle and posts this file to the GM,
who will adjust the operational situation according to the outcome of any battles and Player orders.
TIME SCALE:
Each battle represents one day of the campaign. One day of CampaignTime will be played in one week RealTime.
5 days to allow Players to download the battle, play it and send the replay file to the GM. The GM will take 2 days for the operational resolutions.
